ASUS has officially rolled-out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update to its Zenpad line-up of tablets. Several reports yesterday started indicating that ASUS had deployed the Android 7.0 Nougat for its Zenpad 3S 10 tablet. The update — Version Number V14.0210.1706.20 — also comes with a special Ota Update as well. Not only does the latest update deliver newer specifications but it also comes along with multiple security enhancements as well.

Android Headlines mentioned that "after the update is finished the tablet will no longer have PC Suite, or the Tap and Hold action from the settings menu." Nevertheless, the tablet is one of the most successful devices of the company with decent specs.

What new update has to offer?

As reported by Android Soul, the update consists of a completely new user interface, along with a revamped settings menu. Users will also be able to access quick reply from the notification option. There are other goodies that users will be able to benefit from. The update reportedly started rolling out earlier this week. Interested users who wish to update their tablet can look up the setting option for the same. Instructions are available with the update itself. One can also search the internet for a step-by-step guide. The posting on ASUS’ official website mentions a device that carries the model number Z500M.

What users have to do?

The company further added that they were making the Android 7.0 Nougat — version V14.0210.1706.20 — available for ‘Z500M.’ Since the update is carrying a specific build number, it is obvious that the update is only available for that model.

Users will be required to check the option manually in the ‘Status Bar’ option of the device. As noted by Android Headlines, the update is over 1GB in size. Therefore, users are advised to empty out their tabs before proceeding to install the update. Moreover, another important tip to keep in mind is to ensure that the tablet remains fully charged while installing the update.

If needs be, one can keep the tablet on charge while installing the update.

Apart from this, it is crucial to know that one must not immediately switch their tablets off right after the installation is complete. There are chances that the tablet might get bricked in the process. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Lastly, avoid downloading the update on mobile data. Instead, opt for a Wi-Fi connection. Not only will it ensure that the download is fast, but also users will have a seamless experience in doing so. For more tech news and updates, stay tuned.
