Over one million virtual reality headsets were sold by Sony. It was just last October when the giant tech company launched the high-end gadget and continuously making a good record in sales. Atsushi Morita, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said that the impressive headset did a really great job in pulling off great numbers in sales. According to International Data Corporation (IDC), in the first three months of 2017, there have been two million VR headsets were exported worldwide. Sony reached one of the top spots in selling 429,000 units at first.

Two reasons

There are lots of reasons why Sony is leading in selling this high-end gadget hence; there are two major accounts where consumers can refer to. According to Piers Harding-Rolls, first, it is affordable than the other competition. It is cheaper than the other brands. It is available at only $399. Second, it can support more than 60 million PS4 consoles.

Though the giant tech company is leading in selling VR headsets, the multinational firm continues to maintain or even outdo the present record. Morita said that this high-tech device is said to be the best product that has been developed by the corporation. Virtual reality headset takes users to different takes users to different dimensions, to various places even when your home.

High-tech VR Headset

Sony PlayStation headset was launched on October 13, 2016. This was also known as Project Morpheus while it is being developed. It was created dedicated to PlayStation 4. This high-end headset won’t let you down with its a 5.7-inch OLED panel with 1080p resolution display. It also has a processor box that handles the social screen video output and the 3D audio effect that uses a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Built-in sensors are also included in the list of specifications for Sony VR. Reports say that Sony has this six-axis motion sensing system built into the gadget with three-axis accelerometer and three-axis gyroscope.

Sources also noted that its latency is claimed to be 18ms. It has two HDMI outputs and HDMI input from PS4, AUX and USB sockets.

Players can fully enjoy the experience as the said advanced technology is compatible and capable of videos up to 4K but for high dynamic range photos. However, if a user wants wider a color, better contrast, you would need to cables whenever you’re just having a 2D game.

Harding-Rolls said that eventually there would be more exciting stuff to load into the Sony PlayStation Vr Headset.
