Close on the heels of the specs sheet for the Oneplus 5 leaking online, the device has surfaced on a benchmarking site. OnePlus 5 – the successor of the OnePlus 3 – has popped up on AnTuTu, and the listing details some hardware specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
What does the benchmark listing disclose?
The OnePlus 5 was listed on AnTuTu bearing the model number A5000. Based on the listing, the much-awaited smartphone may sport a FHD display. The listing also disclosed that the smartphone may be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor, which the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus also deploy.
The AnTuTu listing shares that the device may come with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage memory. However, previous rumors pertaining to the RAM suggested that the company may opt for 8 GB of RAM in its next flagship. The latest leak also reveals that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
OnePlus 5 camera
According to the benchmark site, both the selfie and primary cameras of the handset will be 16MP. This contradicts previous rumors, which pointed to a 23MP and 16MP primary and secondary camera, respectively. It is not clear whether the OnePlus smartphone will boast a dual-camera setup. The OnePlus 5 scored approximately 176,000 on AnTuTu, which is one of the highest scores by any flagship device.
Apple’s current flagships iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were the only two smartphones to have attained the same score.
Previous rumors
The company is expected to skip the OnePlus 4 model number for the series as the numeric four is believed to be unlucky in China. The smartphone is expected to retail for just $450 per the leaked specs sheet, which emerged a few days ago.
The handset is expected to sport a 5.5-inch QHD screen per previous leaks.
It may also house a 4,000 mAh battery and may be available in a 64 GB storage option, which will be expandable to an additional 128 GB via a microSD card. It is likely that the smartphone will come in multiple hues. The OnePlus device is also expected to offer 4G and Bluetooth support.
The device will likely boast a fingerprint scanner as well.
OnePlus 5 leaked renders
Some leaked images of the OnePlus 5 also offered a glimpse into the impending device. The back panel of the smartphone displayed a horizontally placed off-center dual-camera setup with the LED flash located at the top center of the rear panel. The image contradicts previous renders, which showed a vertically aligned dual set-up camera located in the middle of the rear panel of the phone.
