“Batman: Arkham VR,” was released in October of 2016 and an exclusive title for Sony’s PlayStation VR, until now. The popular game will finally make its way to other gaming platforms such as Oculus Rift and Htc Vive on April 25.

Warner Brothers, the publisher of the game, also confirmed that the new version will be compatible with standard gamepads on PC such as Xbox One controller, Steam controller and Dualshock 4. Rocksteady Studios didn’t mention if the version of the game will feature additional content. However, there would be an upgrade to its graphics based on the trailer that was released for the PC.

Arkham VR gameplay

The game focuses more on investigating its story rather than beating up enemies like its console and PC-based predecessors. The game allows its players to utilize the character’s iconic gadgets to unravel a plot that threatens the lives of his allies. Players are immersed into the Dark Knight’s universe and experience Gotham City through the eyes of Batman.

Sefton Hill, Rocksteady creative director, stated that “The Dark Knight has always been an incredible character to work with due to his psychological depth, so it’s really exciting to use this immersive medium to delve deeper into his psyche than ever before,” IGN has reported.

It is the fifth installment in the game’s franchise developed by Rocksteady Studios and has been one of the most downloaded games from the PlayStation Store in 2016.
