huawei has started to roll out Android Nougat beta update for Honor 6X in the United States. There are reports that the company has sent two separate emails to all the beta participants. While the first email contains the notification about the arrival of the update, the second message provides detailed information about the steps required to be followed to report bugs. Recently, the company had announced the launch of the beta program for customers in the US. Honor is well known for pushing updates regularly, and the latest arrival doesn't come as a big surprise for the fans.
Honor 6X Android Nougat update will arrive via OTA
If you have signed up for the Android Nougat beta program, you could view a message notification via OTA, which prompts you to download the update. The company has taken special precaution to make sure to keep in touch with the customers via email about the arrival of the upgrade. If you are unable to view an OTA notification, you will have to verify the presence of the update manually. If you are located in the US and registered for the program, you will automatically receive a notification.
According to Jordan Palmer of Android Police, the EMUI 5 is a massive improvement when compared to the currently available version 4.1. However, if you are not impressed with the new update or stuck somewhere, you can quickly switch back to Android Marshmallow running EMUI 4.1 version.
New changes in the EMUI 5.0

After the installation of the update, you can share contacts with others via Bluetooth, e-mail or any supported platform. Moreover, you will find that a scanner has been added not only the search box but also on the lock screen. You will be able to add contacts quickly from within the lock mode. The update also adds several improvements to e-mail reading including a new drawer feature.
