Niantic’sPokémon Go is sweeping across the nation, but players are still left waiting for the Pokémon GO Plus accessory. If you are playing Pokémon Go on an Android device, you may have to wait a little while longer before the Go Plus accessory is compatible with your device of choice. As cited on the official NintendoPokémon Go website, it is noted that the accessory is still undergoing testing for Android use, but that it will be ready for use with a number of iOS phones. Pokémon Go Plus will be compatible with iPhone 5/5c/5s/SE/6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and operating systems iOS 8 – 9.

If you aren’t familiar with this attachment, the Go Plus allows the user to easily catch Pokémon as they walk or run around town without the need to open and use their phone. The accessory will vibrate to alert the player that a creature is close by, and they can then push the button on the device to catch the critter with ease.Now, this only works for Pokémon that the user has previously caught, so you won’t be able to catch new monsters using this attachment. Users also won’t know what creature was caught until they access their phone and the Pokémon Go application.Thus far, no release date for Pokémon Go Plus has been announced. The company stands by their previous announcement of a release by the end of July, but no exact date has been set.
Those with pre-orders have begun to list their orders on websites like eBay with high price markups.
