This NBA offseason will be one of the most intriguing in recent years, with many superstars being available to sign to any team by the summer and it's important for LeBron James. After many sports analysts and fans predicted that the Lakers would be a top contender in the Western Conference, LeBron James suffered an injury to his groin that gave way to a bitter second half of the season filled with trade rumors and lackluster play. It also led to teammates not being happy with LeBron.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to change their future by signing one or two stars to their team.

They will have the summer to think about what they have to do since they will miss the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.

LeBron set to recruit this summer

LeBron James signed a massive contract with the Lakers and will surely be looking to recruit a star to come to the team. There are many valid points, as LeBron is getting older and would love to win a title for the glorious Lakers franchise and for the fans.

And I'm confident that players want to play with me." The superstar brings up a valid point as he still is one of the best in the league and with all the cap space available to the team.

The Lakers front office and James will surely try to get a star to sign with them to live in sunny L.A., play for one of the most historic franchises ever, and play alongside one of the biggest stars in the league in LeBron.

A star-studded class

Many of the biggest and well-known players will be available to sign in the offseason.

That includes Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, DeMarcus Cousins, and Khris Middleton.

The Lakers would surely have to come up with some big offers to acquire superstar big man Anthony Davis, but they could feel it would make their team much better and one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

The possibilities

Kyrie Irving could be a likable signing for the Lakers, as his situation with the Boston Celtics hasn't worked out as planned with a lot of turmoil in the locker room and the familiarity of playing with LeBron James. The two could team up to try to win another title like the one won with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kemba Walker also could sign with the Lakers since the Charlotte Hornets have not gotten anywhere. Klay Thompson could sign with the team as well, as he would be a good fit alongside James, as the team could need a lethal shooter who can defend at a high level.

One assistant general manager, according to the article from Bleacher Report, lists that Anthony Davis is another likable signing, stating that, "LeBron's best chance at getting another star with him is going to be Anthony Davis."

Kevin Durant would be another star who could sign with the Lakers, as the Golden State Warriors' players have stated that they can win without him. With Durant teaming up with LeBron, they could be unstoppable to defend, especially if he can get someone else to sing along with him, such as Kyrie Irving.
