Even though the NFL offseason is here, that hasn't stopped the speculation about several big-name players who could be on the move. Among them are Pittsburgh Steelers players Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. Fans have seen Detroit Lions rumors involving Bell among other teams. There are also recent Le'Veon Bell Eagles rumors that suggest Philadelphia could consider adding him to their roster. They even appear to have some help from brand new Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper in terms of recruiting.

Bell recruited to Eagles by Harper

Just recently, the sports world was set into a frenzy as MLB's biggest available free agent Bryce Harper finally made his decision know.

Harper signed with the Philadelphia Phillies for 13 years and $330 million after spending his career with the Washington Nationals up until now. Harper now joins a city that is proud of its rich sports history including a big Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl win just two seasons ago.

Harper wants to see more titles come to the City of Brotherly Love. While there are updated MLB World Series odds suggesting the former baseball MVP can help the Phillies deliver, he's also hoping to get the Eagles some more titles. Harper appeared to be actively recruiting NFL star Le'Veon Bell for the team. Harper posted a comment on Bell's recent Instagram story as shown in the tweet below.

Harper's comment came after Bell posted about him on the Instagram story.

Enrico Campitelli of NBC Sports Philadelphia mentioned in his report that Bell has made it publicly known he wouldn't mind the Philadelphia Eagles considering his skills for their team.

Eagles' offseason situation, draft

The Eagles have some interesting situations going on. One of those involves the quarterback who helped them win the Super Bowl and who helped guide them to another postseason berth: Nick Foles.

He chose to pay the team $2 million to opt out. So, as of March 13, 2019, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, Foles officially becomes a free agent available for other teams to sign. Luckily, Philadelphia still has a talented guy named Carson Wentz.

An upgrade at the running back position certainly wouldn't hurt for the Philadelphia Eagles.

They ranked No. 27 for rushing yards average (98.1 yards/game) and No. 28 in the league in terms of total rushing yards this past season with 1,570. The team went on a magical, albeit brief, run into the postseason, where they were able to surprise the Chicago Bears and then fell to the New Orleans Saints.

Le'Veon Bell has been in the league since 2013 with Pittsburgh where he's racked up over 5,000 rushing yards and 2,660 receiving yards. He's got 35 touchdowns on the ground and another seven receiving touchdowns. As most fans know, he sat out for the entire 2018 season and will be on his way to a new team.

Pittsburgh has made it known they'd prefer to send him to an NFC team. That puts the Eagles in prime position.

They also may have options available in the NFL Draft. One running back whose name is mentioned in mock drafts is Alabama Crimson Tide RB Josh Jacobs. However, if Bryce Harper and many Eagles fans got their wish, the team will bring in a veteran with the talents of Bell to bolster their offense. One has to wonder if Harper is going to keep up his recruiting through Instagram DMs.
