The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are about to get back to full strength and it could happen sooner than expected. According to Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet, the Lakers are about to get back point guard Rajon Rondo and forward Brandon Ingram from injury.

Rondo broke his hand and has been out of action since November 14, replaced in the lineup by Lonzo Ball. Ingram sprained his ankle and has not played in a game since December 5, replaced in the lineup by Kyle Kuzma. While Ronda was one of the hottest shooters while healthy for the Lakers, the team actually started winning more without him.

Despite the fact that Kyzma is playing much better than Ingram was, the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling without Ingram.

The return of Rondo and Ingram

Bresnahan reported that both Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram will possibly return to the lineup as early as Friday night's game where the Los Angeles Lakers take on the New Orleans Pelicans. This is an interesting game as the Lakers have been considering making an NBA trade that would send Ingram to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis.

Rajon Rondo will likely return to the Los Angeles Lakers as a bench player.

While Lonzo Ball is nowhere near the star that many thought he could be (8.6 points, 5.0 assists a game), he fits in better with LeBron James who needs a point guard that just gives him the ball.

Rondo is a playmaker and while his numbers are close to those of Ball (8.5 points, 6.5 assists a game), he is someone who takes shots and that removes the ball from LeBron James' hands.

Brandon Ingram will likely move back into the starting lineup. While he has yet to score 25 points in a game this season, he also works well in collaboration with LeBron James. Kyle Kuzma is a star and is averaging 22 points a game since Ingram went down, but those points might be better with the Los Angeles Lakers second unit.

Kuzma on the season is second best for the Lakers, with 18.1 points-per-game while Ingram ranks third with 15.2 points per game. Only JaVale McGee scores more than 10 points a game after those two and LeBron James.

A possible perfect Starting Five

Once everyone is back to full health, there is an idea that the Lakers could have a perfect starting five to put on the court. That lineup could include LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, JaVale McGee and Lonzo Ball.

That would leave names like Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Josh Hart Tyson Chandler, and Lance Stephenson to man the Los Angeles Lakers bench.
