Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season schedule will get underway this evening when the Miami Dolphins take on the surging Houston Texans from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. While both teams are 4-3 on the season, they are definitely heading in polar opposite directions.

Texas Flood

It seems like ages ago, but heading into Week 4, the Miami Dolphins were a perfect 3-0 while the Houston Texans sat at an awful 0-3 mark. Fast forward to Week 8, and it is the Texans that are taking over the AFC South. With the Jaguars sputtering a bit, the South is wide open, and right now it seems that the Texans are ready to capitalize.

According to SB Nation, Houston has a great chance to win their fifth straight game this evening when they host the injury-riddled Miami Dolphins. What started out with so much promise for the Dolphins has turned into a nightmare. The good news for Miami is they still have plenty of time to right the ship. In a season that looks to be shaping up that a 9-7 team has a great shot at a wild-card, Miami is still very much alive.

The bad news is on a short week they have to travel to Texas to face a Houston team that is playing with a ton of confidence.
