The NFL Power Rankings for Week 4 have arrived and oh what a week it was! The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams continued rolling over their opponents as they battle for the No. 1 spot in the rankings, while teams that looked invincible just a week ago - namely the Jacksonville Jaguars and Minnesota Vikings looked absolutely lost. And, oh yeah, the Cleveland Browns won a game!
Party on, Cleveland
The Cleveland Browns aren’t quite flirting with a top spot in this week’s NFL power rankings, but when you are a Browns fan, a win is something to celebrate.
Cleveland broke their 19-game losing streak in Week 3 after they defeated the New York Jets with the final of 21-17.
After losing QB Tyrod Taylor to an injury, rookie Baker Mayfield came into the game and instantly turned into the hero of the night for the Browns. Mayfield led Cleveland back from a 14-0 deficit and according to a CBS Sports report on Sunday evening, Mayfield will be the starter for Cleveland in Week 4.
Dolphins stay hot, Vikings shocked
In other big Week 3 NFL news, the shocker of the day had to be the Buffalo Bills crushing the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota by 27-6. While every team has a clunker or two during the season, this was an absolute shocker. The Vikings were listed as a 17-point favorite in this game, and have now gone from a possible NFC favorite to getting put in the “are they for real” category.
Yes, it can happen that fast in the NFL.
How about those Miami Dolphins? Miami is quietly now 3-0 on the early season and they deserve some props!
According to the Miami Dolphins official website, Jakeem Grant scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter helping the Dolphins comeback from a 17-7 deficit and defeating the Oakland Raiders 28-20.
This win has Dolphin fans dreaming of a postseason berth, while it must have Jon Gruden wondering why he left his great job as a Monday night football analyst.
The Dolphins are the biggest movers in my latest NFL power rankings, jumping from No. 11 all the way up to the No. 4 spot this week.
