Fantasy football trades are extremely important at this point in the year as fantasy owners try to figure out what they have and don't have in their teams. Players like Le'Veon Bell have a difficult trade value to determine, while a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes has likely reached his peak fantasy value. But which players can fantasy owners trade for to get a good return?
Let's take a look at five fantasy trade targets.
1. Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins
The run of tough fantasy defenses for Collins is over, and he did manage 13 fantasy points in week 3 against a tough Broncos team. Now he'll get to play a string of much stronger defenses as Baltimore looks to run the ball more than they have all year. It was a recipe for success against the Broncos and should give Collins increased fantasy value moving forward.
2. LA Chargers WR Keenan Allen
What's happening to Keenan Allen? He had over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in week 1, but in his last two games, has scored just eight fantasy points.
That level of production is a product of a blowout against Buffalo in week 2 and a tough matchup against the Rams in week 3. Allen will be a top 10 fantasy wide receiver by the end of the year. Grab him from a frustrated fantasy owner while you still can.
3. Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders
While Demaryius Thomas has struggled to succeed in the Broncos offense, Sanders has flourished, scoring more than 13 fantasy points per game. He's Case Keenum's favorite target and has underrated value in a Broncos offense that likes to throw the ball. Unlike the other players on this list, Sanders won't come cheap, but he's worth it if you can get him for the right price.
4. Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones
This is a risky one, but Jones shouldn't come at too high a price. Aaron had just six carries in week 3, but made the most of them, rushing for 42 yards. Game flow against the Redskins stopped the Packers from rushing the ball, but that shouldn't stop the Packers offense next week against a Buffalo team that will likely be playing from behind. Trade for Jones before his breakout game against the Bills.
5. Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin
Trading for injured players is always tricky, but if done correctly, it can work extremely well. Baldwin owners are likely suffering from two weeks without Baldwin. They aren't sure if he is coming back next week. Tyler Lockett is doing well in his absence.
All these things make for a desperate fantasy owner looking to get some value for Baldwin now. When he does come back, Baldwin will once again be a high-value wide receiver, but he should be a trade target of fantasy owners right now.
