Week 1 of the NFL season is nearly here, which means it's time for fantasy drafts everywhere to start taking place.
Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor
Last year's highest scoring player, Taylor remains the lead back on a Colts offense that should lean heavily on him for offense. Matt Ryan isn't the stellar quarterback that he used to be, and Taylor had a whopping 333 fantasy points last year, and just two games under 10 fantasy points. That kind of consistency should make him the top overall selection in almost every fantasy league.

We are officially in the teens👀

Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler
Ekeler was surprisingly the 2nd overall finisher among running backs in points for the 2021 season. He ended the year with over 273 fantasy points and he remains in an elite Chargers offense. Justin Herbert might throw a lot, but Ekeler catches a ton of passes and is still an elite option for the 2022 season.
#Chargers Justin Herbert goes deep to RB Austin Ekeler who smokes new #Cowboys LB Anthony Barr.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris
Najee Harris might run behind a wall of incompetent players, but he remains the workhorse back for Mike Tomlin. Najee had double digit carries in every game except one last season, and his huge volume makes him worthy of being the 3rd overall running back off the board.

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey
If McCaffrey could ever stay healthy, he'd be the top overall pick in most formats every year. McCaffrey's 2021 season was ruined by multiple injuries, but he still finished the year with 5 double digit fantasy performances in the 7 games he plays. McCaffrey's value increases significantly in PPR leagues, but he has to stay healthy this season before he becomes worthy of the top overall pick again.
Baker Mayfield x Christian McCaffrey going to be a scary duo 🔥🔥🔥

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry is a force every season in the NFL. He's hard to tackle, has great speed, and seems to score a touchdown every game. He was on pace for a record fantasy season, but an injury kept Henry off the field for the last nine weeks of the year. In the games he did play, Henry averaged nearly 22 fantasy points per game, making him very worthy of a high draft pick.
I can't wait to watch Derrick Henry play football again this season 🔥

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook
If Dalvin Cook were able to stay on the field for entire seasonsm, he'd be a top 3 fantasy pick every season. Instead, he regularly misses time, including four games last year. He had seven double digit fantasy performances in the Vikings games he did play, but it's hard to take Cook when you know he'll likely miss at least four games in 2022.
But for real, he's the best back in the league.@dalvincook #NFLTop100

LA Rams RB Cam Akers
Akers missed all of 2021 with a torn achilles, but is set to make his return in 2022. There is no player with more upside in the third round of drafts than Akers, who should regularly get at least 15 carries a game. Sean McVay also loves to run the ball inside the 5 yard line, which should present plenty of touchdown opportunities for Akers, who should really be taken in the 2nd round.

NO Saints RB Alvin Kamara
Kamara would normally be a first round pick, but there is some fear that he will be suspended for 6 games in the 2022 season. So far, reporting from Profootballnetwork suggests that a suspension won't be handed down until the 2023 season. Kamara is a highly productive running back and is especially useful in PPR leagues. Per ESPN fantasy scoring, Kamara had 10 double digit scoring performances in 2021 and he could have at least that many in 2022.
Looks like the suspension probably won't happen until 2023: https://t.co/bLDnnqnD7t

Bengals RB Joe Mixon
Per ESPN scoring, Joe Mixon finished as the 4th highest scoring running back in the 2021 season. The Bengals often leaned on Mixon while winning as he carried the ball a whopping 292 times. Mixon also scored 16 total touchdowns. He was a very productive member of a solid Bengals offense, but it's hard to see Mixon receiving a similar volume of work again in 2022.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb
Without DeShaun Watson to start the NFL season, Nick Chubb should be the focal point of the Browns offense. Even with Baker running the offense, Chubb scored double digit fantasy point totals in about half the Browns games in 2021. Chubb's ability to score touchdowns and take over games makes him worthy of a spot in the top 10.
