While July 31 was the deadline to make deals without players needing to go through waivers, the August waiver trade deadline is Friday, August 31. There have been plenty of notable players that have changed addresses, with their new teams hoping they can bolster their chances of winning a pennant. USA Today mentioned five other players who could be dealt before Friday's deadline, but here are the ones that have already been dealt.

Lucas Duda

Duda was acquired by the Braves from the Royals. In 87 games, the 32-year-old has hit .242 with 13 home runs and 48 RBIs. Per MLB.com, the Braves will pay him $300,000 for the rest of the season. He previously hit 30 homers twice in a season (2017 with the Mets/Rays and 2014 with the Mets).

Jose Bautista

A six-time All-Star and two-time American League home run champ, Bautista was traded to the Phillies by the Mets. Prior to the trade, he was hitting .196 with 11 homers and 42 RBIs. The 37-year-old isn't quite the feared hitter he once was when he belted 97 homers in 2010-11. He finished fourth and third in those two seasons in American League MVP voting.

Matt Adams

Adams returned to his old stomping grounds when he was selected off waivers by the Cardinals from the Nationals. In 94 games with Washington, he was hitting .257 with 18 homers and 48 RBIs. The 29-year-old Adams (who turns 30 on Friday) started his career with St. Louis in 2012 where he remained until he was traded to the Braves in May of 2017.

Daniel Murphy

Murphy was sent to the Cubs by the Nationals. The 33-year-old missed a lot of action to begin the year due to injury but was hitting an even .300 in 56 games at the time of the trade. He led the National League in doubles for two straight years in 2016-17 when he combined to hit 90. He also hit .334 with 48 homers in those two seasons with Washington.

Justin Bour

The 30-year-old Bour was brought on by the Phillies in a trade with the Marlins. In 112 games with Miami this year, he hit .227 with 19 home runs and 54 RBIs. He was part of the Home Run Derby during last year's All-Star festivities. He batted a much higher .289 in 2017 to go along with 25 homers and 83 RBIs in just 108 games.

Fernando Rodney

The 41-year-old Rodney was serving as the Twins’ closer until he was dealt to the Athletics. He had 25 saves with Minnesota on the season with a 3.09 ERA. The longtime major league reliever has recorded 325 saves in his career, good for 18th-most in MLB history.

Mike Fiers

Fiers was having a solid season as a starting pitcher for the Tigers before being traded to the Athletics who were in need of quality starters.

With Detroit, the 33-year-old went 7-6 with a 3.48 ERA in 21 starts. He has since won three games with Oakland, marking the second time in his career that he has reached a double-digit win total.

Tyson Ross

The 31-year-old Ross was selected off waivers by the Cardinals from the Padres. In 22 starts with San Diego this year, he has a 6-9 record with a 4.45 ERA. Ross was an All-Star in 2014, finishing with a 2.81 ERA with the Padres.
