The MLB All-Star Game 2018 Final Vote results are in. Two more players will now join the American and National League rosters. For the American League, it will be the Seattle Mariners' Jean Segura. In the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers' Jesus Aguilar will be on the squad. The two players each topped four other players contending for the final roster spot in their respective leagues. Here's the latest on the All-Star Game Final Vote results ahead of next week's big event.

Segura gets AL roster nod

In the American League, Mariners shortstop Jean Segura will join a stacked roster full of stars.

In fact, he's joining a roster which already has Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado, who continues to be involved in MLB trade rumors, and Cleveland Indians' shortstop Francisco Lindor. Segura was quite happy with his selection to the team. He commented to MLB.com, "I can't believe there's that kind of people around the world supporting me -- fans, the marketing department for the organization, the people in Seattle, my teammates, everybody trying to help get votes for me. It feels amazing."

ESPN indicated that Segura received a total of 13.6 million votes to get the final spot.

This will be his second appearance in the MLB All-Star Game. So far this season, Segura has given the Mariners seven home runs and 47 RBIs while achieving a .329 average. His team is currently second in the American League West division. Segura defeated four other deserving players in the Final Vote results. They were Andrew Benintendi of the Boston Red Sox, Eddie Rosario of the Minnesota Twins, Andrelton Simmons of the Los Angeles Angels, and Giancarlo Stanton of the New York Yankees.

Aguilar joining the NL roster

Over in the National League, the Brewers' first baseman Jesus Aguilar will complete the roster. According to ESPN, Aguilar had the second-most votes ever in the Final Vote with 20.2 million total. In 2017, the Los Angeles Dodgers' Justin Turner tallied 20.8 million votes. The Milwaukee Brewers star will be making his debut in the midsummer classic.

Aguilar has hit 23 home runs, 65 RBIs, and has a .306 average. Brewers manager Craig Counsell was the bearer of the good news for his player during the team's pre-game meeting in the locker room.

Since Aguilar took the final spot, it meant there were four other players who won't be heading to the All-Star game. They are Brandon Belt from the San Francisco Giants, Trea Turner from the Washington Nationals, Max Muncy of the LA Dodgers, and Matt Cardinal from the St. Louis Cardinals. The 2018 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 17 at Washington D.C.'s National Park.
