Real Madrid is appearing in their third consecutive champions league final, making it finals history, after defeating Bayern Munich with a four to three aggregate.
With Bayern trailing two to one at the end of the first half, they desperately needed to earn a winning order to advance to the finals. However, they were only able to tie up the game two to two by the end of the second half.
Joshua Kimmich scored the first goal for Bayern from six yards out making it the first goal of the game in only the first two minutes of play. Karim Benzema then came back and scored a beautiful header from a phenomenal cross given by Marcelo in the tenth minute of play, tying the game one to one.
A second goal was scored by Benzema right before the end of the first half, after a horrible mistake made by the Bayern goalkeeper, Sven Ulreich, putting Real Madrid in control of the game within the last minute of the half. However, the loaned player, James Rodriguez, scored the second goal for Bayern Munich against his parent club, Real Madrid, giving Bayern a chance at defeating Madrid. However, Bayern couldn't come up on top with the win and was only able to tie the match which ended their season.
Zidane, a legendary coach, taking Real Madrid to the champions league finals yet again.
Zidane, once a legendary footballer himself, shifted his talents to the coaching arena. The Frenchman became Real Madrid's coach in January 2016, taking them to two back to back Champions League Finals, and now moving into the third.
After only two years of coaching the club, Zidane is already being considered one of the best coaches the club has had.
Zidane took Madrid to the finals in 2016, five months after becoming head coach and took the victory against Atletico in Penalty kicks five to three. Zidane also coached Madrid all the way to the champions league finals in 2017, against Juventus and won the game with a destructive lead of four to one.
Now Zidane is coaching Madrid in their third champions league finals game, and they are either going to face Liverpool or Roma on May 26.
Bayern Falls short in champion league.
Bayern, as usual, took over Bundesliga with five games to spare this year. However, they again, come up short in the champions league semi-finals for the last 4 out of 5 seasons ever since lifting the trophy in 2013.
Bayern seems to have a difficult time when it comes down to facing teams in larger and higher leagues than the one it plays in currently. The issue may spur from the fact that the German club is taking it easy in Bundesliga that they aren't performing as well in Champions League.
Who will Real Madrid play in the finals this year?
Real Madrid is going to play either Liverpool or Roma in this year's champions league final, and from the looks of things, it might just be Liverpool.
Liverpool is currently leading with an aggregate of five to two against Roma after the first game, making it an already difficult start for Roma to return. Roma currently needs to win their next game against Liverpool four to nothing, which is highly unlikely due to the performance of the club throughout the regular season and Liverpool's performance during the quarterfinals.
