LeBron James put on one of the all-time greatest regular season performances on Friday night against the Washington Wizards. He finished the much anticipated Eastern Conference rivalry game with 57 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks on an insane 64% shooting from the field. He also went 9 for 9 from the free throw line. This was a historic night for the King as he surpassed the 29,000 career points mark, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to reach the mark. He also joined Kobe Bryant as the only other player to score over 50 points in their 15th season or later.

Kobe dropped 60 points in his final game in the NBA in which he scored 60 points.

After four straight losses, this was a game that the Cleveland Cavaliers were eager to win. LeBron James clearly did everything he could to get his team the much needed W. And it took a career-high as a Cavalier effort from the King to do so. No player this season had scored 50 or more points until King James did in the Cavs 130-122 victory, and isaiah thomas was quick to praise his teammate.

Isaiah praises King James

Cavaliers guard Isaiah Thomas not only showed his excitement about the King’s historic performance in the postgame interview with a videobomb, but also expressed it on his Twitter account with a tweet for the King.

The performance from the greatest Cavalier of all time had a lot of people talking, media personnel, players, and fans were all discussing the King’s night, and Isaiah pitched in.

Although Isaiah is a new addition to the Cleveland Cavaliers squad, he has already gained strong friendships with his teammates and one man in particular, LeBron James.

The King has expressed his desire for Isaiah to get back on the court, sharing Instagram stories of his 5 foot 9 teammate with the caption “the slow grind." Isaiah has also talked about his desire to win a championship alongside King James with this talented Cavs team, letting the media know that he feels they can win the 2018 NBA title.

Thomas won’t return to the hardwood until late December or early January, but it will surely be an exciting time for Cavs fans when they see the talented all-star point guard suit up as he will be a huge piece to their inevitable playoff success.

The LeBron-Isaiah duo will be scary

LeBron James has played alongside many great all-stars in his career, and made many great duo’s. But Isaiah Thomas and King James could become another one of those special duo’s. Recently, Kyrie Irving demanded a trade from Cleveland, sending Isaiah, Crowder, Zizic and a first round draft pick to the Cavaliers. This broke up the successful duo of LeBron and Kyrie who went to the NBA Finals for the last three seasons, but born a new era of the LeBron and Isaiah duo.
