Among Tuesday evening's NBA preseason games on the schedule will be the Phoenix Suns visiting the Portland Trail Blazers. Of the two teams, one has had some recent playoff success, at least by way of making it into the postseason. However, the Blazers would love to get back there and go further than the past season. The Phoenix Suns are more of a team in rebuild mode right now, but have been stocking up on quality young talent through the NBA Draft. Here's the latest Suns vs. Trail Blazers game preview including matchup odds, Game Time, TV Channel, and live streaming options.

NBA game preview

The Phoenix Suns were a team that many felt might make some sort of splash in the offseason trade scene but instead, they stayed relatively quiet. There were Phoenix Suns rumors that they would go after Blake Griffin or another top forward such as Paul Millsap. Instead, the team drafted young talent Josh Jackson for the small forward spot and he'll join other young stars including Devin Booker, Marquese Chriss, and Dragan Bender. The Suns are looking toward the future, but they still seem several seasons away from possibly cracking into the postseason in the West.

The Portland Trail Blazers didn't make any huge moves during the offseason either, although they lobbied to bring Carmelo Anthony on board to join their two star guards.

However, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum will try to once again to bring this team some sort of success. Last season saw the team reach the No. 8 spot in the West by barely edging the Denver Nuggets. As their prize, they were swept in four games in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the eventual champions.

The Portland Trail Blazers are listed as favorites of 6-1/2 points for the point spread in tonight's game.

The over/under points total is at 217 points for the game at several sportsbooks, although some may have 218 points.
