The Phoenix Suns got their first regular-season victory against the Sacramento Kings with the score 117-115 on Monday. The Suns did not have their primary scorer in Eric Bledsoe but they were still able to shoot above 50 percent from the field and get the win. Devin Booker had a solid game, contributing a team-high 22 points along with three rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Garrett Temple scores 23 points
Despite the loss, Garrett Temple had a solid game for the Sacramento Kings. He led all scorers with 23 points, he also added two rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes.
The Kings had a huge run in the fourth quarter but they Phoenix Suns maintained composure and were able to close out the game with a win. The Sacramento Kings now have a 1-3 record this season. They now shift their focus this Thursday as they face the New Orleans Pelicans in Sacramento.
Mike James steps up
With Eric Bledsoe being sent home before the game, Mike James earned himself his first ever career start. He responded by playing an incredible game which helped the Suns get their first win of the season. He contributed 18 points, two rebounds, and seven assists in 26 minutes. He shot 80 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three-point line.
James will probably have the starting point guard position locked in for the season if he can continue to play consistently well.
Devin Booker would need more help on the offensive end with Bledsoe no longer with the team, and James did just that against the Sacramento Kings.

Phoenix Suns general manager Ryan McDonough told reporters that they are now currently taking calls for Eric Bledsoe. He also added that Jay Triano will be the head coach of the Suns for the remainder of the season.
McDonough called up Bledsoe after his controversial tweet and Bledsoe simply said that He does not want to be there anymore and that he is in the hair salon with his girlfriend.
Bledsoe then talked with interim head coach Triano early morning before the Sacramento Kings game and he was then sent home after the discussion. Bledsoe has averaged 15.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, three assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.7 blocks in three games for the Suns this season. Phoenix Suns fans have probably seen the last of Eric Bledsoe wearing a Suns uniform.
