NFL Trade Rumors: Martavis Bryant to Cowboys, Cordy Glenn to Seahawks?

The NFL trade deadline is right around the corner and teams are looking to make last-minute deals in the hope of improving their title chances. The Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks are two of the teams that are frequently mentioned in recent trade rumors.

Martavis Bryant, to boost Dallas Cowboys’ offense?

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant’s name is expected to float around until the trade deadline passes.

This after the third-year WR expressed frustration about his role in the team. Bryant told ESPN reporter Josina Anderson that he wants out of the team if his current position does not improve.

In seven games this season, Bryant tallied 234 receiving yards with 18 catches and a touchdown. He saw his role go on a downward spiral as rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster gets more playing time. Bryant feels he should get more opportunities, thinking that he is still a better player that Smith-Schuster.

Following the reports about his dissatisfaction, Bryant was linked to several teams. The Dallas Cowboys was recently tagged as an ideal landing spot for the 25-year-old wide receiver.

According to The Landry Hat, the Cowboys should strongly consider trading for Bryant. While their offense is still better than most of the teams in the league, the report pointed out that getting the former Clemson standout could push the team’s offense to an elite level.

However, it remains to be seen if the Steelers will trade Bryant. Head coach Mike Tomlin said last week that Pittsburgh is not thinking of trading the South Carolina native, but it is unclear if their stance is still the same heading into the deadline on Tuesday.

Seattle Seahawks pursuing Cordy Glenn?

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks are also being mentioned in recent NFL trade rumors. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Seahawks are reportedly looking to improve their roster heading into the second half of the 2017 NFL season.

In the hope of getting an offensive line boost, Seattle reportedly reached out to the Buffalo Bills about a possible trade for Cordy Glenn. However, the talks reportedly went down due to Buffalo’s demand for a player, who is just in the second season of a five-year, $60 million contract with $34 million guaranteed.

The Seahawks were also recently linked to Houston Texans tackle Duane Brown. But based on how things are going in Seattle, Bleacher Report noted that the Seahawks would likely stand pat and decide not to make moves, which could backfire in their chase for a second consecutive NFC West title.
