Los Angeles Lakers have defeated the Sacramento Kings with the score 75-69, according to NBA.com. Julius Randle led the Lakers in points and rebounds last night while Brook Lopez played his first preseason game, scoring 12 points in 15 minutes. Zach Randolph scored a team-high 16 points for the Sacramento Kings, but it was not enough to overcome the Lakers.
Zach Randolph shines in preseason game
Zach Randolph led the Sacramento Kings in points last night against the Lakers with 16. He also added six rebounds and three assists while making seven of his 15 field goal attempts.
Randolph surprisingly took six three-pointers in last night's game, and he was able to make two of them. Zach Randolph was acquired by the Kings this offseason along with Vince Carter, in the hopes of giving the young Sacramento Kings some veteran leadership.
George Hill dishes out eight assists
George Hill played 36 minutes last night against the Los Angeles Lakers. He contributed seven points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Hill had a hard time finding the bottom of the basket last night; he only made two of his seven field goal attempts. George Hill will be the primary starting point guard for the Sacramento Kings this upcoming season. The Kings are in full rebuild mode after the departure of DeMarcus Cousins last season.
Julius Randle records a double-double
Julius Randle had a solid game last night; his double-double helped the Los Angeles Lakers acquire their first preseason win against the Sacramento Kings. He contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. He made seven of his 12 field goal attempts along with one three-pointer.
Julius Randle lost a lot of weight this offseason in the hopes of being more athletic once the NBA season begins.
Kyle Kuzma cools off
Kyle Kuzma has shown very good performances in the preseason so far. He contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, and three assists against the Sacramento Kings last night. He made six of his 12 field goal attempts but missed five of his six three-pointers.
Kyle Kuzma is quickly blossoming into a solid scorer at the NBA level. The Los Angeles Lakers will have lots of young talent going into the season. The Lakers no longer have their first-round draft pick for 2018, thus losing games this upcoming season will give them no benefit at all. Lonzo Ball, Brook Lopez, Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram, and Jordan Clarkson will have to win as many games as they can.
