With the NBA regular season just around the corner, the NBA preseason is a great look into what to expect this coming NBA season. On October 9, 2017, sixteen NBA teams hit the hard court to get more practice time before opening night.

Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons

The Indiana Pacers were defeated by the Detroit Pistons 107-97. Pacers' Al Jefferson led Indiana with 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Pistons' Ish Smith had 14 points, one rebound, and nine assists.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics

The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics 113-96 in the TD Garden.

Celtics' Semi Ojeleye scored 16 points, while teammate Terry Rozier grabbed ten rebounds and dished out six assists to lead all players.

76ers' Ben Simmons led Philadelphia with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Atlanta Hawks

Dennis Schroder had 21 points to help the Atlanta Hawks defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 100-88. Grizzlies' Marc Gasol led in rebounds with 13, while Atlanta's Malcolm Delaney led in assists with five.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Miami Heat

The Miami Heat managed to come out with the win in a close game against the Charlotte Hornets 109-106. Hornets' rookie guard Malik Monk scored 19 points, while Miami's Kelly Olynyk and Dion Waiters had 12 rebounds and eight assists respectively to lead all players.

Houston Rockets vs. New York Knicks

James Harden exploded for 36 points while shooting 13 out 21 from the field as the Houston Rockets dominated the New York Knicks 117-95. Harden also had a near triple-double with nine rebounds and 11 assists.

Orlando Magic vs. Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Orlando Magic in a tightly contested game with a score of 99-96.

Orlando's D.J. Augustin led all scorers with 24 points, and Nikola Vucevic grabbed 14 rebounds, while Dallas' J.J. Barea dished out nine assists to lead all players.

Utah Jazz vs. Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns lost to the Utah Jazz 120-102. Utah's Ricky Rubio scored 20 points, teammate Derrick Favors and Phoenix's Alex Len both had six rebounds, while Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns dished out seven assists.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Sacramento Kings

Portland's Jusuf Nurkic and Sacramento's Justin Jackson led all players with 16 points as the Sacramento Kings fall to the Portland Trailblazers 97-83. Blazers' forward Caleb Swanigan grabbed 12 rebounds while Kings' Marcus Williams had five assists to lead all players.
