NBA.com has reported that the Detroit Pistons defeated the Indiana Pacers with the score 107-97 in Little Caesars Arena. Ish Smith, Reggie Jackson, and Boban Marjanovic led the Detroit Pistons in scoring with all of them scoring 14 points. Damien Wilkins also scored 14 points for the Indiana Pacers but it was not enough as the Pistons were just too much. Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner, Lance Stephenson, Thaddeus Young, and Glen Robinson III did not play last night.
Damien Wilkins shot 83 percent from the field
Damien Wilkins had a solid game last night against the Detroit Pistons.
He scored a team-high 14 points to go along with one rebound. He shot lights out making five of his six field goal attempts and making all two of his three-point shots. Damien Wilkins will probably see some playing time next season, as the Pacers start their rebuilding process with the departure of Paul Geroge this offseason.
Al Jefferson plays 25 minutes against Detroit
Veteran big man Al Jefferson played 25 minutes last night against the Detroit Pistons. He contributed 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He shot 42.9 percent from the field making six of his 14 shots. Al Jefferson will be the team leader going into the new NBA season, he will also be given the task to give veteran leadership and advice to the young Pacers team.
Marjanovic, Jackson, and Smith scores 14 points
The Detroit Pistons distributed the scoring very well last night against the Indiana Pacers. Boban Marjanovic, Reggie Jackson, and Ish Smith all scored 14 points apiece to help Detroit get the win. Marjanovic made six of his eight field goal attempts and added eight rebounds. Jackson only shot 40 percent from the field but he also contributed three rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
Ish Smith shot 54.5 percent from the field to go along with nine assists, one rebound, and one block. The biggest strength of Detroit is their defense, but if they can continue to distribute the ball and the scoring load for the upcoming season they will have a big chance of making the playoffs.
Reggie Bullock and Anthony Tolliver scores 13 points
Reggie Bullock and Anthony Tolliver also played pretty well last night against the Indiana Pacers, they scored 13 points apiece in last night's victory. Reggie Bullock made five of his 10 field goal attempts and added four rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Anthony Tolliver shot 80 percent from the field to go along with two rebounds, one assist, and two steals.The Detroit Pistons played very well last night despite the absence of Andre Drummond and Avery Bradley.
