With the NBA season starting in a few days, the NBA preseason is a great look into what to expect this coming NBA season. On October 6, 2017, sixteen NBA teams hit the hard court and battled it out.
Kyrie Irving shot well from three after making five out of the seven threes he attempted in their game as he helped the Boston Celtics win against the Philadelphia 76ers. Irving surely injected a championship DNA into a decorated franchise that had struggled for quite a few seasons now to make it back to NBA championship contention.
Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 110-102. Celtics' Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 21 points; Al Horford grabbed nine rebounds to lead all players, while Gordon Hayward and 76ers' Ben Simmons both dished out game-high five assists.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons dominated the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 109-87. Pistons' Avery Bradley scored 18 points to lead all scorers, Eric Moreland had 13 rebounds, and Ish Smith led all players with eight assists.
New York Knicks vs. Washington Wizards
The New York Knicks lost in a close game against the Washington Wizards 104-100. Wizards' All-Star point guard John Wall led all players in scoring and assists with 19 points and six assists, while Knicks' forward Michael Beasley had eight rebounds.
Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Despite Dwayne Wade's excellent performance after leading all players with 20 points while making 10 out of the 14 shots he took, the Indiana Pacers managed to come out with a 106-102 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland's Tristan Thompson and Indiana's Thaddeus Young led the game with eight rebounds, while Victor Oladipo and Cavaliers' Kevin Love both had five assists to lead all players.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls
Giannis Antetokounmpo played 23 minutes in his preseason debut against the Chicago Bulls. Despite Antetokounmpo's excellent performance, the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Chicago Bulls 114-101.
Giannis led all scorers with 24 points; Khris Middleton led all players after dishing out five assists, while Bobby Portis grabbed ten rebounds.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma's All-Star forward Paul George led all players with 25 points; Daniel Hamilton had eight rebounds, while Pelicans' Jrue Holiday had six assists to lead scorers after the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 102-91.
Sacramento Kings vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Sacramento Kings lost to the San Antonio Spurs 113-93. Spurs' Danny Green led all scorers with 20 points; Joffrey Lauvergne had ten rebounds, while Patty Mills and Kings' De'Aaron Fox both had six assists.
Phoenix Suns vs. Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz managed to come out with the win against the Phoenix Suns with a score of 112-102. Utah's Alec Burks had 19 points; Rudy Gobert grabbed 12 rebounds, while Phoenix's Tyler Ulis led all players with six assists.
