Significant changes were made for the upcoming WWE "TLC" happening this Sunday (Oct. 22) at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “Raw” General Manager Kurt Angle will be donning his tights once more, replacing Roman Reigns in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs 5-on-3 handicap match.

WWE.com meaning Angle made the announcement will be returning to active duty after an 11-year hiatus. Reigns is reportedly off the show due to medical issues, and the development spoils the highly anticipated reunion of the Shield.

It remains to be seen what shape Angle is in as they face formidable opponents.

The “Raw” GM will team up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as they take on the quintet of The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane.

Odds not looking good

The exclusion of Reigns further dampens the chances of the Shield. Already outnumbered, the larger adversaries are likely to have an easier time against a smaller trio of Angle, Rollins, and Ambrose.

Though the creative team has notoriously found a way to turn things around with their script, seeing the smaller trio of Angle, Ambrose, and Rollins come out as winners look remote. Further, the trio will be teaming up for the first time, and such could become a factor against their larger opponents.

Will there be outside help?

In the matchup, Angle and The Miz do have a little bit of color between them.

Jason Jordan, the storyline son of Kurt Angle, is also involved in the melee and possible interference from the 29-year-old could happen.

If not, there could be simple appearances or cheap shots landed in the chaotic match. Cesaro and Sheamus have their share of adversaries, same with Braun Strowman. Kane becomes an odd man in the mix considering he was resurrected in a revenge angle tied up to his brother, the Undertaker.

Angle turning on Ambrose and Rollins?

If not outside help, there is the possibility that Angle could turn against the duo of Ambrose and Rollins. The storyline is nothing new with previous scripts following the same. However, it would need proper timing like perhaps an accidental hit from either Ambrose or Rollins. If not, there is the possibility of Angle leaving abruptly or revealing he is in cahoots with The Miz and company.

The sudden changes put a serious question mark on WWE "TLC" this Sunday. Aside from Reigns, another WWE star who had to be replaced is Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds was originally set to face Finn Balor until he too went down with a medical condition. Taking his place is AJ Styles from “SmackDown,” a showdown between two former Bullet Club leaders.
