The New York Knicks have finally won their first game of the season after they defeated the Brooklyn Nets while the Minnesota Timberwolves took another game from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Draymond Green and Bradley Beal were both ejected from their game after a scuffle late in the second quarter.
Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks
The Knicks defeated the Nets 107-86. Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis recorded 30 points in 13 out of 24 field goal shooting and nine rebounds.
Jarrett Jack finished the game with eight points, seven rebounds, and five assists while Kyle O'Quinn chalked four points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
D'Angelo Russell led the Nets with 15 points, two rebounds, and one assist. Teammate Spencer Dinwiddie had four points and 11 assists while Quincy Acy finished the game with 12 points in four out of six three-point shooting and four rebounds.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-116. Karl-Anthony Towns had 33 points in 12 out of 24 field goal shooting and 19 rebounds for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Teammate Jimmy Butler produced 25 points while making 11 out of 13 free-throw attempts and seven assists while Taj Gibson added 16 points in eight out of 12 field goal shooting and eight rebounds.
Russell Westbrook finished the game with 27 points and nine assists. Teammate Paul George had 23 points and five rebounds while Carmelo Anthony had 23 points and two rebounds.
Washington Wizards vs. Golden State Warriors
Kevin Durant's 31 points while making four out of his nine three-point attempts and eleven rebounds were enough to lift the Golden State Warriors over the Washington Wizards 120-117.
Teammate Stephen Curry contributed 20 points in seven out of 19 field goal shooting and eight assists while Klay Thompson finished the game with 18 points after making only eight out of his 19 field goal attempts and three assists.
Otto Porter Jr. led the Washington Wizards with 29 points in seven out of nine three-point shooting and ten rebounds.
John Wall also had 20 points after making only seven out of his 20 field goal attempts and 14 assists while Kelly Oubre Jr. added 19 points in four out of six three-point shooting and eight rebounds.
Toronto Raptors vs. Los Angeles Lakers
The Toronto Raptors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 101-92. Kyle Lowry recorded a triple-double for the Toronto Raptors with 11 points, ten rebounds, and 12 assists. Teammate DeMar DeRozan finished the game with 24 points while making only nine of his 21 field goal attempts, five assists, five rebounds, and three steals while Pascal Siakam added 18 points in eight out of ten field goal shooting and eight rebounds.
Julius Randle led the Lakers with 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Brook Lopez also contributed 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three blocks while Kyle Kuzma had 15 points, ten rebounds, and one assist.
