Derrick Rose's season with the Cleveland Cavaliers isn't going really well as the point guard is once again dealing with injuries. When the Cavaliers signed him, they knew he was prone to injuries and that he probably won't be available every single night. However, signing him to a minimum contract was a low-risk move that could possibly benefit the team when it matters most.
The former MVP has appeared in the first two games of the season, but he couldn't even finish the second game. Rose injured his ankle during the game against the Milwaukee Bucks and he's been sidelined since then.
However, the Cleveland Cavaliers will most likely be able to count on him as he is expected to return this month.
Rose won't be out for too long
Derrick Rose missed 18 games last season for the New York Knicks, and while his stats were solid, his absence affected the team. Fortunately for the Cavaliers, they don't need him to play in every single game. Even though Isaiah Thomas is out, the reigning Eastern Conference champions have a few more replacements for Rose. After all, LeBron James can be a point guard and he excels at running the floor.
While James did a great job at the point guard position last night, the Cavaliers won't have to use him as a playmaker after their next game. Dave McMenamin of ESPN reported that Derrick Rose has been ruled out against the Brooklyn Nets, but there is a good chance he comes back for the game after.
Derrick Rose is ruled out both Tuesday against Chicago and Wednesday against Brooklyn, per the Cavs. Still rehabbing his left ankle.

Cavaliers' schedule
The Cavaliers will visit the Nets on Wednesday night and this will be their second back-to-back game of the season. They defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first back-to-back game, but they lost Rose.
Keeping their players healthy should be a priority for Cleveland, which means that head coach Tyronn Lue might limit LeBron James' and Kevin Love's playing time.
After the Nets, the Cavaliers will have a two-day rest as their sixth game of the season will be against the New Orleans Pelicans. This will be another road game and Cleveland will face a tough challenge against DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis.
Fortunately, Derrick Rose might return for this game and the Cavaliers will use all the help they can get. Even though the Pelicans are 1-3 so far in the season, they match up well against the Cavaliers and could win the game.
Just a day after, Cleveland will play their third back-to-back game as they will host the New York Knicks. This will be their final game of the opening month.
