The Los Angeles Clippers defeated The Utah Jazz with a score of 102-84 on Tuesday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Blake Griffin played another excellent game, he contributed 22 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and one block. He shot 47.1 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc, and 66.7 percent from the Free Throw Line. The Clippers are looking really good as they now go 3-0 in the western conference.
Utah struggles to take care of the ball
The Utah Jazz actually shot the ball pretty well against the Clippers.
They shot 43 percent from the field, 25 percent from beyond the arc, and 81.8 percent from the free throw line. But the main problem for Utah was how careless they were with the basketball. They committed a total of 18 turnovers. Joe Ingles had four, Donovan Mitchell also had four, while Ricky Rubio and Alec Burks have three apiece. The Clippers did play excellent defense but if the Jazz wants to win games, they will need to take care of the ball more.
Clippers played great defense
The Los Angeles Clippers played excellent defense against the Utah Jazz. Led by last years all-defensive team, Patrick Beverly, the Clippers recorded 12 steals. Beverly and Danilo Gallinari had three steals each while DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Johnson had two each.
They forced the Jazz to commit 18 turnovers. The Clippers are looking very solid this season on defense, they have excellent perimeter defenders to go along with Jordan and Griffin who are one of the better shot blockers in the NBA. The Clippers will now shift their focus this Thursday, as they face the Portland Trail Blazers.
Patrick Beverly continues to fit in well
Patrick Beverly has been really good for the Los Angeles Clippers. With Milos Teodosic out indefinitely, Beverly had no problem playing more minutes. He contributed 19 points, four rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block. After being awarded as an all-defensive first team last season, Beverly continues to be a nightmare for other players in the NBA.

Danilo Gallinari fills up the stat sheets
Danilo Gallinari had one of his best game as part of the Clippers against the Jazz. He did a little bit of everything with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 39 minutes. He also shot the ball pretty well, he made 5-of-11 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. If Danilo Gallinari can continue to score and contribute in every area on the floor, the Clippers will be a tough team to beat even without Chris Paul.
