There have been a lot of news going around the NBA, between young stud Kristaps Porzingis and the New York Knicks, Jameer Nelson signing with the New Orleans Pelicans, fines on NBA superstar DeMarcus Cousins, Golden State Warriors' former Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry getting ejected from their game, Bobby Portis' incident with teammate Nikola Mirotic, and San Antonio Spurs' superstar Kawhi Leonard's injury update.

Kristaps Porzingis' issues with New York Knicks

A contract extension between the New York Knocks and Latvian forward Kristaps Porzingis will be eligible at the end this NBA season.

He said that he needs to see a change in the Knicks organization before committing to a long-term deal. Porzingis will be a restricted free agent this coming summer and an unrestricted free agent in 2020 if he opts out of his contract with New York.

Jameer Nelson signs with New Orleans Pelicans

After getting waived by the Denver Nuggets, the New Orleans Pelicans have signed veteran Point Guard Jameer Nelson. He is expected to add backcourt depth for the Pelicans while Rajon Rondo is out with a sports hernia injury. Jordan Crawford will be waived to open up a roster spot for Nelson.

DeMarcus Cousins fined

DeMarcus Cousins is fined for $25,000 after a verbal incident with a fan in their Wednesday game against the Memphis Grizzlies which they lost 103-91.

Cousins finished the game with 28 points, ten rebounds, and two assists.

Curry denies throwing his mouthpiece at referee

In their 111-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, Stephen Curry and teammate Kevin Durant were thrown out late in the game. Curry said that he did not throw the mouthpiece at the referee. Curry finished the game with 37 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Bobby Portis apologizes to Nikola Mirotic

Bobby Portis apologized to teammate Nikola Mirotic publicly before their game on Saturday. He also said that he is not worried about the legal actions Mirotic might take against him. Portis received an eight-game suspension from the Bulls' organization due to the incident.

Kawhi Leonard's injury update

Kawhi Leonard may be out a little longer due to an injury in his left quadriceps. Leonard was spotted limping as he boarded the Spurs' team plane on Saturday. Kawhi missed the rest of the playoffs and the entire NBA preseason after suffering the injury against the Golden State Warriors in last year's Western Conference Finals.

Kawhi's return will be big news for the Spurs who are winning convincingly during this young NBA season while Cousins and Curry's antics continue to affect their respective teams.
