Today's New York vs. Dallas game was a back-and-forth affair through four quarters.
With under 30 seconds to go, Shavonte Zellous missed a close shot but Tina Charles was there for the offensive rebound to score, making it 82-79 New York. Skylark Diggins-Smith would miss a layup and Kiah Stokes grabbed the rebound before getting fouled. However, Diggins-Smith would redeem herself on the next play, stealing the ball from Epiphany Prince which allowed Aerial Powers to cut the game to a one-point contest.
After a brief timeout, New York turned the ball over on a Sugar Rodgers backcourt violation. Dallas called for the timeout but Diggins-Smith's last second three-point jumper missed, allowing the Liberty to escape with the 82-81 win.

She shot 8-for-21 to get 18 points while also collecting a game-high 18 rebounds in the win. All of the starters for New York finished in double-digits with Epiphany Prince scoring 20 points on 7-14 shooting and Kia Vaughn scoring 11 points to go with six rebounds.
For the Dallas Wings, Glory Johnson led in scoring with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Diggins-Smith added 16 points, four assists, and three rebounds, while Teresa Pleisance had 10 points for the game. Both teams shot well for the game at a rate of 41 percent with Dallas hitting more threes. The rebounding battle was won by Charles and the Liberty, 43-33, while the two teams combined for 27 turnovers in today's closely contested game.
