The offseason is coming to an end, and training camps are set to begin a couple of weeks from now. The NBA scene has been crazy the past couple of months with numerous changes, superstars changing teams like Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas, Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari, Jae Crowder, Paul Millsap, Paul George, and Jeff Teague. This offseason also featured new in-game rules and a new and revamped NBA schedule for next season to minimize resting of players. And just yesterday we saw a huge franchise switching owners for 2.2 billion dollars.

Here is a couple of more updates on the NBA free agency scene:

Tilman Fertitta buys Houston Rockets

A couple of months ago Leslie Alexander announced that he was selling his beloved NBA Houston Rockets franchise and as expected it took no time for it to be bought out. Mark Berman of Fox Houston has reported that Leslie Alexander has agreed to sell the Houston Rockets franchise to fellow billionaire Tilman Fertitta for 2.2 billion dollars this offseason. Many inquired about the Houston Rockets franchise, one specifically was Dan Friedkin, but it seems like the sole owner of Landry has closed the deal on buying the Rockets franchise from Leslie Alexander.

Tilman Fertitta is an American businessman who solely owns one of the largest restaurant corporations in the United States of America in Landry's Incorporated.

He also had his time in the lime light as he became the star of Billion Dollar Buyer shown on CNBC. He resides in Houston Texas, and as of September 2017, he has a current net worth of 3.1 billion dollars. This offseason he takes on a new challenge in his billionaire career as he ventures into the NBA business by acquiring the Houston Rockets that feature James Harden and Chris Paul.

Jabari was part of Knicks-Houston trade talks

The Rockets and Knicks have been quite open in their trade talks as Carmelo Anthony has said that the only team he is willing to waive his trade clause is with the Houston Rockets.

Ian Begley of ESPN has reported that Habari Parker has been one of the names mentioned in the Knicks and Houston trade as the two teams are looking for a third team so that the trade can be finalized with everyone getting what they want. Jabari Parker has been sidelined due to another torn ACL injury last season (His second in his entire NBA career). With the offseason coming to an end and training camps around the corner it seems like it is only a matter of time until Carmelo Anthony will be wearing a Houston Rockets uniform next season.
