Kevin Durant is having an eventful off-season. After winning the 2017 NBA Championship and the Finals MVP plum, the Maryland native has been very busy online. While some have enjoyed the banter between KD and fans, the player's recent comments have some questioning what the second overall pick was thinking.

Durant comments on Youtube: 'I got acne'

Aside from his favorite platform, Twitter, KD was on Youtube recently. But he wasn't only watching videos, he was in the comments section too, doing what he does best -- replying to normal people's posts.

Appreciating the buzz surrounding his new sneakers, the KD 10 "Finals", Durant took to the Youtube community section to thank his fans and haters for appreciating his new kicks.

"Appreciate the love on the new Kds. Fun fact, since I broke my foot, I wear orthotics instead of regular insoles so I won't be 'stepping on my haters' this year hahaha," the 2014 NBA MVP wrote. He added, "just a gift from us to you to let you know that your voices have been heard."

One fan replied to KD, telling the University of Texas alum that he shouldn't let haters get into him.

"Someone of stature shouldn't worry about stuff like that," the fan wrote.

The Golden State Warriors star was more candid in his reply, saying he is just as normal and "closer" to the fans as most people think.

"Of my stature, I play basketball, I got acne, I grew up with nothing, in still figuring myself out in my late 20, I slide in DMs, I make fun of my friends, I drink beers and play Xbox.

I’m closer to you than u think."

The eight-time NBA All Star's message was well-received by fans, thanking him for being relatable and for taking the time to reach out to his fans. Although he has been receiving "hate" all over the Internet and on the court, this has not stopped Durant from staying connected to his followers on social media.

KD apologizes to OKC Thunder teammates and ex-coach

Kevin Durant's Youtube comments were in stark contrast to his recent tweets though. Earlier this week, the GSW forward slammed his former coach and Oklahoma City Thunder teammates. Replying to a user on Twitter, KD said he "didn't like the organization" and the OKC roster was not good enough. He even blatantly said he "can't win a championship with those cats."

Many attributed the tweets to KD having other fake Twitter accounts he uses to defend himself on the social media platform.

However, at a recent TechCrunch panel, the Team USA athlete admitted the posts were just him being an "idiot."

"That was just me being a total idiot. I own up to it," Durant said. He added that he was upset at himself for going too far and that he loved his former team and wouldn't want to hurt them.

"I feel so pissed at myself and I’m mad that I brought someone into it."

His banter has also gotten his current team, the Warriors, worried about his recent actions. According to Chris Mannix of The Vertical, Warriors officials and players are "perplexed" with his recent off-season antics. But will these affect his performance come the 2018 NBA Season? We highly doubt it. GSW is still expected to dominate the coming season and possibly win back-to-back titles.
