The NBA offseason has come to an end as training camps are currently ongoing today. Teams are adding final touches to their training camp rosters and others are locking in and getting ready for the regular season. The Cleveland Cavaliers finalized their training camp roster by signing Dwyane Wade and JaCorey Williams, while Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks is looking to get back on the court.

JaCorey Williams join Cleveland training camps

The Cleveland Cavaliers made a lot of changes to the front office and their roster. This offseason they released General Manager David Griffin, traded away Kyrie Irving, and acquired Dwyane Wade, Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose, and Jae Crowder.

After a slow start, the Cleveland Cavaliers ended the offseason by acquiring numerous solid veteran players. They are looking as strong as ever, despite the departure of Kyrie Irving. Dave Mcmenamin of NBA ESPN has reported that the Cavaliers have signed JaCorey Williams to a training camp contract to finalize their training camp roster.

JaCorey Williams played three seasons for the Razorbacks in college where he averaged 4.8 points a game. He played his last year of college in Middle Tennessee, where he averaged 17.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the Blue Raiders. After the season ended, JaCorey Williams was named conference player of the year. Now he is set to have a chance at making an NBA team for next season.

Kristaps Porzingis has fresh mind for training camps

The New York Knicks had a disastrous season last year with phil jackson alienating both Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. Jackson even listened to trade deals for Porzingis because he missed an exit interview at the end of the season. But with Phil Jackson out and Carmelo Anthony moving to Oklahoma, Porzingis can now make New York his team.

Ian Begley of NBA ESPN has reported that Porzingis wants to enter this season with a fresh mind and leave all the negativity from the 2016-17 NBA season in the past.Porzingis also reportedly said that he is excited to play another season and is excited to take the court with the new players the Knicks have acquired.

Kristaps Porzingis will enter the 2017-18 NBA season as the main scoring option for the New York Knicks, especially after the franchise dealt Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are far from a contending team, but with how weak the East is next season, there might be a small chance of them making a playoff run.
