The Gabon striker, Emerick Aubemyang wants to agree with a move away from Borussia Dortmund to face new challenges and is believed to have become more frustrated since Ousmane Dembele was given a green signal to complete his move to Barcelona, and his exit was blocked without showing any reason.

Auba to Man City

Le 10 Sport now claims manchester city are all set to table the offer eyeing deadline day pressure before the transfer window shuts down, with PSG and AC Milan circling, keeping a close eye on the recent developments. Pep Guardiola is a big admirer of the Gabonese goal machine since he observed him from his time at Bayern Munich and is said to have requested the Etihad hierarchy to do whatever they can to seal the deal.

City ready to splash cash

It is also suggested that English club was willing to pay $70 million for Aubameyang when they took the first step to make an inquiry last month. While Manchester City has all the financial resolve to fork out such huge amount of cash, it remains to an interesting question whether Dortmund would change their stance and will accept an offer. French winger Dembele has just moved to Barcelona for a hefty £138m, which made him the second most expensive footballer in recent history.

Dortmund now has plenty of cash after that successful transfer business but now lack the firepower. That’s why it seems unlikely that the Bundesliga giants would be willing to let go Aubameyang, at least this summer.

However, the same report claims that the Gabon international is extremely unhappy that Dembele has been allowed to leave, but he hasn’t. Chelsea and Milan were also heavily linked with the attacker earlier this summer when Dortmund squashed Aubameyang’s hopes of joining new club rejecting all the offers.

At 28, he is also seen as one of the senior members in Dortmund dressing room considering his age, only his four teammates are older than him, but he has always commanded respect as one of the German giants’ longest-serving star performers.

Among the regular first-team members, only Lukasz Piszczek, Nuri Sahin, and Marcel Schmelzer have featured in more than the 129 Bundesliga games Aubameyang has appeared.

There is also one thing; Aubameyang's unique relationship with other Dortmund players, be it the YouTube generation or the senior members, notably goes beyond the surroundings of the dressing room and onto the field with his hard work, physical prowess, determination, and exceptional footballing skill are still as inspirational as ever despite the ongoing transfer rumors and reported rift.
