Leicester City have completed the signing of Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee. Still, in England, Swansea have tabled a bid for Tottenham and Arsenal target Jean-Michael Seri and are prepared to rival the north London duo for his signature. In Italy, AC Milan are ready to keep hold of forward M'Baye Niang, who has been linked with both Everton and Arsenal this summer. Here's a report of the soccer transfer updates circulating this summer:
Iheneacho joins Leicester City
According to BBC Sport, Kelechi Iheanacho has finally put pen to paper on a five year deal with Leicester City, having undergone his medical at the club earlier this week.
The 20-year-old Nigeria international becomes the fourth new arrival at the club this summer window following the acquisitions of defender Harry Maguire, goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic and midfielder Vicente Iborra. Iheanacho will now join fellow Nigeria internationals Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi at Leicester City and could make his debut in Friday's preseason friendly against German club Borussia Monchengladbach at the King Power Stadium.
Swansea enter race to SNA Jean Michel-Seri
Swansea City have offered OGC Nice $19.7m plus bonuses and are confident of fending off competitions from their EPL rivals, according to Wales Online. Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be stalling over a potential move for the Frenchman but the Swans have now moved ahead in the race for Jean Michel-Seri's signature by opening the bidding war.
Seri's brilliant season at OGC Nice last season has led to interests from a number of top European clubs including Catalan giants Barcelona. However, the French club is reluctant to sell their prized asset for $19.7m, and they're holding out for a fee of around $47million for the Frenchman. The $47m transfer fee valuation is said to be the buyout figure in the private agreement between the player and the club.
AC Milan not ready to sell M'Baye Niang
According to England FootballNewsonline, AC Milan seemingly appears to be unlikely to sell their striker M'Baye Niang, amid interests from Everton and Arsenal Football Club following his impressive performances last season. AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella has been pleased with the striker's team work-rate over this summer preseason and is now “intent” on keeping him at Milan.
Niang has a further two-years left on his current deal at the San Siro. The 22-year-old striker made eighteen Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri last term, bagging 3 goals and setting up 3 assists, prior to his loan move to Watford in the second half of the last term.
