Sri Lanka has hardly managed to win games this year, and this has created frustration among the fans and well wishers of the team. When Sri Lanka was about to lose the third game, fans got frustrated by poor play and interrupted the proceedings by throwing bottles and crackers into the playing ground.
India to give chance to reserve players
As India has already sealed the series 3-0, the team will continue experimenting on the playing line ups. It is being speculated that Shardul Thakur, who addressed the media yesterday evening will mark his One Day International debut through this game.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will miss out this game if Thakur gets included in the playing eleven. Manish Pandey was seen batting for long hours in the nets, and he may find his spot in the eleven, and if it happens Jadhav will have to sit out.
Most of the experiments conducted by the team in this series were not successful, and it was the performance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma which helped the 'Men In Blue' to bounce back during pressure situations.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka is badly missing their key players Dinesh Chandimal, Dhanushka Gunathilake, and Upul Tharanga due to injuries.
If Gunathilake fails to prove his fitness in this game, he will be replaced by either Dilshan Munaweera or Dhananjaya De Silva.
Pitch and weather conditions
The surface at the Premadasa stadium is flat, and it will be a perfect paradise for batsmen. In all probabilities, the team winning the toss will elect to bat first. Weather experts predict chances of a shower, but it will not be that strong enough to interrupt the game.
