The trade rumors regarding Anthony have died down in the past weeks but one fan on Instagram posted a photo on the account called pelicansfanpage_. In the post, the fan wrote alongside a photo of Anthony and Cousins that there should be a reunion between the two NBA players.
Cousins liked the photo and left an emoji in the comments section making others comment that the Pelicans center should make the trade happen so that Anthony could play with him, NJ.com reported. The two have played together in the past for the Olympics representing the American team.
Cousins admires Anthony
Hoops Hype reported that Cousins admired Anthony so it was not surprising that he liked the Instagram post. In a 2016 interview, Cousins said he enjoys being around the veteran player and he was his favorite teammate during the Olympics since the latter has so much experience in the league. Cousins also said that he has been a fan of Anthony his whole life so to be able to work with him during the Olympics for Team USA made him a better player.
If Anthony joins Cousins, New Orleans would have the best front court
