It's now been twenty-five years since the EPL's inception, and we have seen some great players emerge over the years. Here's a look at some of the best players in the English Premier League with the most impressive statistics at their position, looking at players with a minimum of thirty EPL appearances. I used the 4-4-2 formation pattern to compile this list

The backline

Petr Cech (Goalkeeper Chelsea and Arsenal) - According to Premier League stats, the fantastic Czech goalie has conceded just a goal in every 116.2 minutes in the EPL during his soccer career.

Arguably, that's the best record for a goalkeeper in the English Premier League history. Tony Adams (center back, Arsenal FC) - Tony Adams is a “legendary” EPL defender. Adams helped kept a clean-sheet in 45.2 percent of his EPL appearances for Arsenal. Ricardo Carvalho (center back, Chelsea FC) - The former Portugal international helped kept a clean-sheet in 46.8 percent of his EPL appearances Alvaro Arbeloa (right back, West Ham and Liverpool) - In the list of fullbacks with the best clean-sheet, in 43.6 percent of matches the Spaniard featured, his team did not concede any goal, the joint best-record of any defender who've played more than thirty EPL matches.

Emiliano Insua (left back, Liverpool) - Meanwhile, the best fullback “based” on clean-sheet statistics is Emiliano Insua, who also “boasts” of walking-off the field having helped kept a clean-sheet in 43.6 percent of his EPL career.

Midfield

Cesc Fabregas (central midfielder, Chelsea, and Arsenal) - Fabregas is one of the EPL's most “creative” central midfielders. The Spaniard has outstandingly managed to make an assist in every 222.4 minutes. That's awesome. Mesut Ozil (central midfielder, Arsenal) - No doubt, Ozil is widely dubbed as the “king of assist” in the world of soccer, however the Germany international did not come top of the list of the Premier League's “greatest creators,” though Mesut Ozil did do well enough to make this list, as he assists a goal in every 234.6 minutes.

Fabulous indeed. Kevin de Bruyne (right wing, Chelsea, and manchester city) - The Belgium international has made a goal in every 180.3 minutes in the EPL which is arguably the best record of any midfielder since the inception of the league.

Nani (left wing, Manchester United) - Nani might not have been a fan favorite for Manchester United, but he consistently produced results, making an assist in every 226.8 minutes.

Attackers

Kelechi Iheanacho (striker, Manchester City) - Surprisingly making the list with just forty-six EPL appearances, Kelechi Iheanacho is the attacker with the “best minutes” per-goal ratio, scoring a goal in every 107.9 minutes which is absolutely impressive. Sergio “Kun” Aguero (striker, Manchester City) - Aguero is arguably rated as the “second best” attacker in the history of the Premier League. The Argentine star scores once every 110.9 minutes, which is almost a goal in every match in the EPL.
