There have been many instances where the top players from different professional sports have been compared to each other by their fellow peers. 2017 Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green has been having a more adventurous summer than the rest of the world as he was finally awarded the Defensive Player of the Year award and managed to earn his second championship ring.
Draymond reveals his soccer comparisons for NBA players
After his multiple accolades won last season the two time all star power forward has been spending his summer overseas in Europe he has been spotted at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in the UK and Spain Green has been spending team with the soccer team FC Barcelona.
On Saturday in Miami during the El Clasico played between Barcelona and Real Madrid. ESPN was interviewing Golden State Warriors power forward and 2017 defensive player of the year Draymond Green listed comparisons for his Golden State point guard teammate and two time MVP Stephen Curry and also recorded comparisons for four time MVP and Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James. Green compared these two superstar basketball players to two superstars of the soccer world member of the 2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI Neymar and four-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
These comparisons are reasonable
Comparing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lebron James is reasonable taking into the fact that both Ronaldo and James have arguably been the best player in their leagues for multiple seasons due to their incredible strength size and talent.
Both James and Ronaldo are still both performing at top level even though they are both at the age of 32 and with multiple years of playing time ahead for both of these athletes.
On the other hand, both Neymar and Curry do have some similarities between the both of them as these are both considered superstar players in their respective sports and both seem to possess game changing abilities.
Both Curry and Neymar are both valuable players to their title contending teams and both have shown to be able to take control of games when needed. There are some very noticeable similarities between these four global athletes, which shows how elite these players abilities are in their professional careers. It may be difficult to compare professional athletes skills across all of the professional's sports, but these comparisons are reasonable enough to make sense.
