In the main event of Sunday's WWE "Money in the Bank" PPV, the men's Ladder Match certainly stole the show. Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Baron Corbin competed for the right to become the 2017 "MITB" briefcase holder. The winner of the match would have a contract inside for a World Championship match at anytime or anyplace. So which of these men's superstars was able to climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase? Here's a look at the men's "MITB" ladder match recap and final results.

MITB match results

As each of the competitors was announced for the match, they would make their way to the ring and ringside area where plenty of ladders were available.

When Shinsuke Nakamura was making his entrance, he was attacked from behind by "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin. As Nakamura was beaten down, he appeared to suffer an injury which had him helped backstage. That would make it just a five-man match, or so it seemed.

Once it got underway, the latest men's edition of the annual ladder match featured a good number of entertaining and exciting spots. In one of them, Dolph Ziggler was climbing up the ladder in the ring to try to claim the briefcase for the second time in his career.

However, Sami Zayn was there and performed an amazing sunset flip with Ziggler from off the ladder to the mat. Both men crashed down to the mat shocking fans everywhere.

Later on, AJ Styles would hit a huge spot where he took Kevin Owens on his shoulder from the ring apron and would slam him back-first on a ladder set up on the ring mat to an announcers table.

The ladder refused to give way and Owens bounced off it to fall to the outside. In another spot, AJ would climb the ladder to start to try to unhook the briefcase. Dolph Ziggler pushed the ladder away causing Styles to hang from the hook above the ring. Eventually, Styles had no choice but to fall to the mat.

Baron Corbin gained the advantage at one point and prepared to set up a ladder to make the climb.

Suddenly, Shinsuke Nakamura's music hit and he arrived from backstage, then walked down the ramp to the ring holding his shoulder. Corbin threw a ladder at him over the ropes but Nakamura quickly slid into the ring and attacked. From there, he kicked away at Corbin. Shinsuke would take it to each of his competitors and looked to be in control of his destiny.

Who won the match?

The grand finale of the match featured a fantastic finish. Two competitors who know each other from their time working in New Japan Pro Wrestling went head-to-head as AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura moved the ladder to the side and took each other on. The two traded strikes to one another, and even put one another down on the mat.

At one point, Styles blasted Nakamura with a flying forearm to plant him on the mat.

However, both Styles and Nakamura managed to climb up opposite sides of a ladder and each was closing in on retrieving the briefcase. While it looked like one of the two fan favorites might retrieve the coveted prize, "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin got back into the ring and knocked the ladder over, to drop both men. With all of the other competitors down on the mat or outside the ring, Corbin climbed the ladder, unhooked the latch, and pulled down the case.

That means "The Lone Wolf" is "Mr. Money in the Bank 2017." Will Corbin be ready to cash in this coming week on "SmackDown Live," or will he be waiting in the wings for a different time?
