After various rumors and trade talks finally, the Chicago Bulls have made their move by trading the superstar Jimmy Butler. It turns out that the Minnesota Timberwolves have acquired Jimmy Butler from the Bulls. The wolves seemed to have an interest in Butler earlier, but nothing was known until the deal turned out to be true.

The trade is reported to be a huge win for the Minnesota Timberwolves, getting hold of a star player like Jimmy Butler is something the Wolves wanted and it is sure to bring them great benefits. There is no doubt that Butler has given his best effort and enjoyed playing his time with the Wolves.

He probably never anticipated that his days of wearing the red jersey has drawn to an end.

What did the Wolves trade to acquire Jimmy Butler?

According to Fox Sports, Butler was proceeding to the Wolves for Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine. The Wolves might have seen this great opportunity as this was the right chance for them to acquire Butler. Surprisingly, that is not all from the deal as the Chicago Bulls also got the No.7 pick in the NBA draft. For the past three seasons, Jimmy Butler has been an all-star with an average of 23.9 points. With his great skills, Butler also managed to pull off 6.2 rebounds per game for the Bulls in 2016-17.

Jimmy Butler's performance has proved him to be an excellent player and that is exactly what the Minnesota Timberwolves wanted, to have an all-star player like Butler on the team.

Reports state that Jimmy Butler is one on the list of the top ten players in NBA. The biggest question that arose was why did the Bulls trade an all-star player like Jimmy Butler?

What do the Bulls benefit from this deal?

Apparently, the Timberwolves also got the No. 16 pick on the deal for Butler. On the other hand, the Chicago Bulls will get the opportunity to gain Arizona's seven-foot power forward Lauri Markkanen through the No.7 pick.

Markkanen is known to be a great shooter as well as one of those most efficient players of College Basketball. That said, the Bulls will have a great start with Markkanen.

Looking at the Chicago Bulls standpoint, getting their hands on some new stars like Markkanen will be a great advantage for them.

Both the Timberwolves and the Bulls will benefit with this deal, as for Butler, Dunn, and LaVine it is a chance to explore their potential and other options.

As for the other NBA trade rumors, several other teams seem to interested in acquiring the New York Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis including the Boston Celtics.
