Now, many players looking to show their stuff will compete in the upcoming NBA Summer League 2017 games with Orlando the first city to host action on the schedule. Among the teams that will compete in that region starting Saturday are the Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, and home favorite Orlando Magic.

News & notes
While the Orlando Summer League showcases some of the recent draft picks from the 2017 NBA Draft, there's always a chance that some young stars may not be able to compete. Already news has come out via ESPN saying that Charlotte Hornets' No. 11 draft pick Malik Monk won't participate in summer league training or the Orlando games.
The 6-foot-3 guard is said to have a sprained ankle injury he suffered during a draft workout that will keep him out of action.
In addition to the Orlando summer games, there will also be leagues for Utah and Las Vegas. The Utah League features the Celtics, Sixers, Spurs, and Jazz with games taking place on Monday, July 3rd through Thursday, July 6th.
The Utah Summer League games will be shown on NBA TV. The Vegas league features pretty much the rest of the teams not involved in the other two leagues. Games start for Vegas on Friday, July 7th and run through Monday, July 17th when the Championship will be shown on ESPN at 10 p.m. Eastern Time.
