Take a look at some of the best point guards that will be available for the NBA Draft 2017. Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball and De'Aaron Fox are definitely TOP 3 prospects, but there are also some other talented guys at the point guard position.
The biggest potentials
Markell Fultz – University of Washington, 6 ft 4 in, 195 lbs, 19 years old
Fultz is currently the best point guard in this draft class. His potential is indescribable and his athletic skills are very high for his age. He has a big wingspan, he is fantastic with the ball in his hands and he can shoot the ball with a very high percentage.
The only thing that could possibly be a trouble for Fultz is his defense, but his offensive skills are immeasurable. Philadephia 76ers got the No.1 pick, so Markelle Fultz is going to become the best point guard in the city of Philadephia.
De'Aaron Fox – University of Kentucky, 6 ft 3 in, 187 lbs, 19 years old
Fox is one of those players who can lead a franchise, because of his great leadership and behavior off the court. He has a great attitude for a young player, he is quick, hard-worker and a defensive machine. Fox's only disadvantage could be his shot, but there is no reason to believe that he can't improve it.
Lonzo Ball – UCLA, 6 ft 6 in, 190 lbs, 19 years old
Lonzo Ball is probably the best playmaker in this draft, with extremely high sense on the court.
His greatest qualities are unselfishness and ball control. However, his shooting style is a little strange and his shooting consistency is questionable. Also, Ball could have some trouble with his stamina.
The other point guards
Dennis Smith Jr. – NC State, 6 ft 3 in, 195 lbs, 19 years old
Smith has a great athletic abilities and he is a terrific shooter.
His offensive skills could give him a TOP 5 pick in this draft.
Frank Ntilikina – France, 6 ft 5 in, 190 lbs, 18 years old
Frank's biggest disadvantage is that he is not from the United States, but he could possibly become a future star. His unselfishness and great ball control are truly remarkable for an 18 year-old, but he can also shoot the ball with a great percentage.
Furthermore, he is already a great defensive player. Frank Ntilikina could be a „steal“ of this draft.
Donovan Mitchell – Louisville, 6 ft 3 in, 200 lbs, 20 years old
Perhaps Mitchell doesn't possess the great qualities at this moment, but he certainly has a great potential. Donovan Mitchell is possibly a player with the best athleticism in this draft class.
Frank Mason III – Kansas, 5 ft 11 in, 190 lbs, 23 years old
Frank Mason is a great shooter and he was one of the best players in the NCAA last season. He is not the biggest prospect, as he is already 23 years old, but he can be very useful and dangerous as a combo guard.
