The "Dr. of Thuganomics" may have revealed WWE spoilers regarding his return to "SmackDown Live." In the latest WWE rumors, former champion John Cena recently tweeted out an interesting message which has raised speculation that his return is coming sooner than originally expected. Will John Cena be back on WWE television programming soon, or will he stick to the original schedule for his anticipated return to the Tuesday night program? Here are the latest rumors regarding Cena's WWE return, as well as another potential surprise return that may happen.
Cena's tweet
On Sunday morning, John Cena tweeted a message from his Twitter account to update fans on the latest situation with him. Cena mentioned that he was wrapping up a "funny project" and also indicated that he was taking a "trip back home." The interesting aspect of the tweet was where he said the project was taking place.
Taking a second to regroup and recharge. Finishing up a wonderfully funny project in Atlanta, then a trip back home is long overdue @WWE

The stars of "SmackDown Live" were performing at a live house show in Macon, Georgia on Monday night. John Cena wasn't scheduled to appear at the event. However, Tuesday's episode of "SmackDown Live" will take place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Could John Cena make a "surprise return" at the live TV show?
If Cena makes his big return to the "blue brand" one has to wonder what sort of feud he'll be part of next. Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal are caught up in the WWE World Championship picture, while there are six other superstars involved in this year's "Money in the Bank" ladder match.
Will Cena get inserted into the 2017 ladder match?
There's also the possibility that Cena won't show up on Tuesday's show. Originally, various media sites were reporting that Cena was advertised to return around the July 4th episode of "SmackDown Live" in Phoenix, Arizona.
Also returning?
The WWE rumors suggest that not only Cena will return but also his future wife, Nikki Bella.
The couple won their "WrestleMania 33" tag team match against The Miz and Maryse. Right after the victory, Cena made his famous in-ring marriage proposal to Nikki Bella. It made for a classic "WrestleMania" moment and one that was talked about for weeks after it happened.
There had been previous rumors that Nikki might be leaving the wrestling world behind due to concerns over her neck injury. Nikki made a triumphant return to "SmackDown" following those neck issues and engaged in feuds with Carmella and Natalya before ultimately teaming with her boyfriend at "Mania." Seeing both John Cena and Nikki Bella return would certainly be a welcome sight for wrestling fans.
