#WWE Monday Night #RAW on Memorial Day brings back a reignited rivalry and new competition for scramble before they take it to the Extreme. In a double main event, Roman Reigns fought his former Shield brother Seth Rollins while Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Bray Wyatt collided in a Triple Threat. These five main-eventers will battle each other this Sunday on June 4th in a Fatal 5-Way #Extreme Rules match to be No.1 contender. Also, the stars from the cruiserweight and women’s division shine through competitive matches and heated promos.

Beginning segments of show
The show opened with Miz TV turned into an impromptu match of The Miz with title contenders Sheamus and Cesaro against Dean Ambrose and Raw Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz. Jeff and Matt Hardy secured the victory with their legendary finishers Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb. Newcomer Elias Samson gave the WWE Universe a little song and showcased his raw aggression against a jobber.
Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe engaged in a Triple Threat to gain momentum for their match Sunday to choose a No.1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title.
The winner at Extreme Rules will fight Brock at the next RAW PPV, Great Balls of Fire (yes, that’s the actual title). Bray and Joe teamed up on Balor for a moment until Bray capitalized to hit Sister Abigail on Joe. Finn came back with the Coup de Grace until Joe stole the victory by tossing Finn in the ring post, reclaiming his undefeated streak.
Cruiserweight and women’s roles
Rich Swann took on Noam Dar with The Boss Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox in their respective corners. A distraction at ringside allowed Swann to hit his Phoenix Splash on Dar for the pinfall and engage in a victory dance with the 3x RAW Women’s Champion. Swann and Sasha will take on Alicia and Noam again at Extreme Rules.
Current RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss re-enacted Mankind’s iconic promo “This Is Your Life” given her impressive mic work. This time, her rival Bayley was the subject of mind games to ensure she can’t get extreme in their match this Sunday. Bayley came out for a brawl but Alexa gained the upper hand with a kendo stick. WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville and TJP had a repeated match with Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher. Austin finally got a win over Neville with his finisher Last Chancery, damaging Neville’s psyche for their Submission Match on July 4th.
The Big Dog vs The Kingslayer
Two former Hounds of Justice, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins had a 1-on-1 main event match to see who really owns the RAW yard.
Seth got hurt early with a Drive By to his ribs against the ring post, yet his resilience drove his high-flying maneuvers. Roman landed a couple surprise Superman Punches after Rollins’s springboard and Buckle Bomb moves. In the end, Reigns landed a spear after avoiding a Phoenix Splash and his finisher knee to get the win. Whoever wins the Fatal 5 Way at Extreme Rules, expect brutal physicality and weapon usage this Sunday.
