Kobe Bryant's record of 88 games with at least 30 points scored during the NBA playoffs has been tied by LeBron James. Cleveland Cavaliers superstar James collected 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field in a 116-105 win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. It was his 88th career postseason game where he has notched 30+ points.

In five games played this postseason, the 32-year-old ended four games with no less than 30 points in a game.

He has been averaging 33.2 points on a magnificent 63 percent field goal percentage this postseason.

Former five-time NBA champion Bryant didn't play the playoffs since 2012. The Los Angeles Lakers did reach the postseason in 2013 -- but there was no help from Bryant -- who suffered a season-ending injury prior to the postseason. The Lakers weren't able to make the playoffs in Bryant's last three seasons with the team.

James could surpass Lakers legend Bryant on the list as early as Wednesday. The Cavaliers will be hosting tomorrow the visitors from Canada in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

More records

LeBron James is now tied with Charles Barkley on the 12th spot in NBA playoffs history when it comes to the most double-doubles in the postseason.

Except the already mentioned 35 points scored against the Raptors, the three-time NBA champion had 10 rebounds on the night as well. It was the 32-year-old's 92nd double-double playoffs game. He has had a double-double performance in each of his five games played this postseason.

It all suggests that the Cleveland Cavaliers small forward will pass Barkley on the list on Wednesday.

Kyrie Irving breaks a team record

Cleveland Cavaliers starting point guard Irving has made it past Craig Ehlo on the team's most assists during the playoffs list.

The 1st pick of the 2011 draft has dished out 164 assists during the postseason in Cavalier uniform so far in his career.

On Monday night against the Raptors, Irving had 10 assists in 35 minutes spent on the floor. It has been his best game when it comes to assisting this postseason.

The guard has dished out 22 assists during this year's NBA playoffs. His assists averages saw him post 4.4 assists per game in this part of the season.

Irving has had his way when it comes to scoring -- 25 points on 42.2 shooting from the field in the playoffs. It remains to be seen can he continue to put in good assists numbers against the Raptors in the games to come, and lift his assists averages.
