Cleveland Cavaliers starting center is campaigning for LeBron James as the 2017 NBA MVP. As a fellow teammate of LeBron's, he knows all about how valuable the King is to their success. After the Cavaliers had finished the sweep over the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2017 NBA playoffs, Tristan made his statement about the situation.

During the 2016-17 regular season, max contract player Tristan Thompson averaged 8.1 PPG, 9.2 RPG (3.7 OREB), 1 APG, 0.5 SPG and 1.1 BPG on 60% shooting from the field. Thompson is a critical piece to Cleveland ball club's success.

He is vital for the rebounds, and he gets the team many second chance points with his ability to grab offensive rebounds.

Tristan can also defend at a very high level and block shots. But there is one player on his team that he knows makes him better every night, and gets him a lot of open layups or dunks under the rim, and that man is the 4-time MVP known as The Chosen One.

Tristan Thompson picks his MVP

The MVP award has been the most discussed award this season, with many excellent candidates achieving many extraordinary feats. Russell Westbrook averaged a triple-double, James Harden led the league in assists, Kawhi Leonard had his best scoring season, and LeBron James averaged career high's in assists and rebounds.

But of these four superstars, Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson believes LeBron is the most deserving one. After a season of career high's, moving up all-time lists and carrying his injury wobbled team to the 2nd seed, James deserves a lot of credit. Credit that Tristan was willing to give him. Tristan on LeBron: "He should be the MVP.

But I heard your guys' votes are already in. So damn, that sucks. He's the MVP. Best player."

Tristan makes an excellent point. LeBron James is known worldwide as the best player on the planet; he always proves it in the NBA playoffs and finals, so he is deserving of the MVP.

Tristan isn't the only Cavalier to voice his MVP vote

Recently, Cleveland Cavaliers veteran sharpshooter James Jones voiced his opinion on the MVP. As expected, his choice was also superstar teammate LeBron James. Jones talked about how important the King is for the team's success, and how much of an impact he has, proven when he is not out on the floor. James Jones also complimented LeBron's ability to keep the team elite, leading them to a top 2 seed while having injuries to many key guys.

Both Tristan and James are very familiar with their multiple time all-star teammate, and both hold a very strong opinion on him being the 2016-17 Most Valuable Player.
