There's still one more slot that hasn't been decided in the Western Conference playoffs, and Denver could put the pressure on Portland when they host Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets are currently 1.5 games back of the eighth seed where the Trail Blazers are. Denver also has the advantage of having one more game on the schedule than the current eighth-seeded team.

The Thunder haven't been great as of late, losing three of their last five and falling to Phoenix the last time out. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM Eastern time and the matchup can be viewed on NBA League Pass, FSN Oklahoma, and Altitude 2.

Thunder (45-34 overall, 43-35-1 ATS, 17-22 away, 2nd Northwest)

It was quite the struggle for Oklahoma City in their stunning 120-99 loss to Phoenix, who were finally able to break their long 13-game losing streak. Point guard Russell Westbrook (31.7 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 10.4 apg) finally had human numbers with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists to 8 turnovers.

The effort certainly won't hurt his bid to average a triple-double in the regular season -- that feat has officially been accomplished. Center Steven Adams (11.4 ppg, 7.7 rpg) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Backup center Enes Kanter (14.4 ppg, 6.7 rpg) struggled from the field, hitting just 5-of-14 shots, but making all seven free throw attempts to finish with 17 points.

Shooting guard Alex Abrines (5.9 ppg) has missed two straight games with a knee injury and it's unknown if he will be in this game. Small forward Andre Roberson (5.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg) also is dealing with knee issues and he's questionable for the contest as well.

Nuggets (38-41 overall, 44-35 ATS, 21-18 home, 4th Northwest)

Denver has stuck around in the playoff race by winning three of their last four games. In their most recent action, they were able to take down New Orleans twice while only losing to Houston by six points in between the victories. A key part of their two wins over the Hornets was a huge advantage on the glass, outrebounding them by a combined 100-68 margin.

Power forward Darrell Arthur (6.2 ppg) is questionable with soreness in his left knee. Shooting guard Will Barton (13.7 ppg, 4.3 rpg) has missed the last five games with soreness in his left foot and it's unsure if he'll be ready for this one. Point guard Jameer Nelson (9.2 ppg, 5.1 apg) will be out with a lingering calf strain issue.

With Oklahoma City's recent struggles, Denver is favored by four points at home and the total O/U is set at 229.5 points. The Thunder have won eight straight meetings against the Nuggets and they beat the spread in six of those contests.
