Who would've guessed, musical superstar Rihanna has once again expressed her interest in basketball and more specifically LeBron James. As seen over the many years of NBA basketball, musical talents have often showed interest in the sport and the NBA. A lot of times, players or teams have been quoted in songs, rappers and singers and worn basketball clothing and often times they have been seen at NBA games. It's rare to watch an NBA game at the Staples Center and not see a celebrity sitting on the sidelines. The sport of basketball is huge, with billions of fans worldwide, so it's not a surprise to see a lot of artists having interest in the sport.

Some of the biggest celebrity and artist names to attend basketball games and mention NBA teams or players in their songs include Drake, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, DJ Khaled, The Kardashians, Beyoncé, Rihanna and many, many more. The list of celebrities that have attended NBA games is awfully long, showing how gigantic the sport of basketball and the National Basketball Association has become. One of the biggest hip hop stars in the world, Rihanna, has recently voiced her NBA opinion.

Rihanna sends message to the Cavaliers and LeBron

On Sunday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers finished off the first round series with a 106-102 victory over the Indiana Pacers in game four.

Led by the efforts of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. And promptly after the game, Rihanna took to Twitter to share her congratulatory message to the boys in Cleveland.

So it seems that Rihanna is a Cavaliers fan, and she will be rooting for them as they attempt to defend their NBA championship.

Rihanna has been a LeBron fan for a while

This isn't the first time that Rihanna has been spotted showing her support for the team LeBron James is a member of. In 2013, the pop star celebrity was spotted at a few Miami Heat playoff games, repping the LeBron James number 6 jersey and wearing white in support of the team.

And since then it seems her fandom for King James has grown. Year by year she would post something about LeBron or his team on twitter and Instagram, and in the 2016 Finals she started to flood her Instagram with LBJ photos.

On her Instagram in June of 2016, while the NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cavaliers were in full force, Ri Ri posted a lot. She even took shots at the GSW and Steph Curry in various posts, sarcastically captioning a photo of Steph with "Ballin bigger than LeBron' they said". And when LeBron won his first NBA championship in Cleveland, she posted photos of James holding the Larry O'Brien trophy, and represented his number "23" on her body in a humorous photo. So it's clear to see that Rihanna is a huge fan of LeBron James, and that support will continue throughout these NBA playoffs.
