Back in 2016, there was a certain lack of Federer on the tennis courts given his lingering injury on his left knee. A surreal revival of the Swiss star in 2017 put him on the radar again. Having won 3 titles of 4 tournaments he entered, Federer decided to give himself a well-deserved time off.

Roger Federer's plans for the upcoming months will include a minimum presence on the European red clay with the French Open as the sole target. While other ATP greats are making their ways through the red clay, the Swiss will be making another appearance in a charity event.

The Match For Africa 4 has been set to take place in Seattle and will have quite a recipe regarding who's playing.

Bill Gates, John Isner and another yet unknown celebrity will take part

Match for Africa established itself as a well-known charity event having the Roger Federer Foundation, an organism founded back in 2003, as its pivotal core. Its goal is to provide support for disadvantaged kids from all around the world with a focusing point in South Africa and Switzerland.

On April 29th, another exhibition tennis event will take place at Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The show will consist of two matches. The single encounter will put Roger Federer against John Isner of United States in a best out of three sets showdown.

For the doubles, the exhibition match is set to offer a sense of genuine greatness as Roger Federer will team-up with tech titan Bill Gates while John Isner's partner is yet to be announced. So here it is another opportunity to taste some of Federer's tennis skills though in a different landscape.

Federer has been part of a successful story

The past editions of Match for Africa where all spiced-up only with professional tennis stars. The first one was a Federer vs. Nadal two episodes rubber. The next one put Federer and his rival and friend Stan Wawrinka in the same pot while the most recent one took place two weeks ago and it had Federer against Andy Murray, the current world no.

1 in men's singles.

The fourth edition came a bit as a surprise judging by the fact that it's been only 2 weeks since the latest one. On a regular basis, these charitable events had a longer time-span between them. 2010, 2014 and 10th of April 2017 were the dates of the previous showdowns.

The success story of Roger Federer Foundation also has been a way for Federer to stand out from the herd. His tennis successful story further translated into a brilliant ride outreaching other segments too.
